Christmas Rubbish

Was it only me, or was there no originality in the programming shown over this holiday break. Normally I find theres a good pile of content to be watched/recorded but this year I've just had nothing leap out and say "must watch".

Loads of repeats, yep... we got those, some season finales, yep, thats a given. Where was the interesting viewing of normal years? While I know we're mid ression, that isn't a good excuse in my opinion!

Its been very disappionting this year! Lets hope things pick up over the coming months.

Others have noticed too - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcasting/news/a193980/tv-viewers-left-cynical-by-bbc-output.html

"Over the Christmas period, around 600 hours of repeats were shown on Britain's main terrestrial channels. However, the BBC was particularly criticised for 75 appearances by Doctor Who actor David Tennant on its main channels at the expense of other actors."

Thats an awful lot of repeated programming.
